French Bulldog Club of Dallas / Fort Worth Club History On April 2nd, 1993, Weldon J. Inmon and Ralph McCollum sent out letters to several people who were interested in promoting the French Bulldog breed by creating a club. On May 15th, 1993, an informal meeting was held at Weldon and Lucille Inmon’s house. The following people were in attendance: Grandol & Donna Forehand, Glenn & Willa Byrd, Robin and Bonnie Stansell, Stormy Holleman, Amy Dietrich, Olivia Salters, Foster Hanson, June & Al Hendrix, Ralph & Barbara McCollum, Pug Pagliara, Lucille & Weldon Inmon, Gwen, Michael & Michelle Inmon, Laura & Paul Schweyman. From this initial meeting, several people became members and a club was formed. The club adopted its name, the French Bulldog Club of Dallas / Fort Worth on Sept. 25th, 1993. The club logo, designed by June Hendrix, was adopted on May 27th, 1994 . Since its inception, the club has lost many of its charter members including the founders... Weldon J. Inmon and Ralph McCollum. After Weldon's death, his wife, Lucille Inmon, dedicated much of her time and effort to assist the club in achieving its license from the American Kennel Club. After several years and many challenges, the club achieved its license status in April 2000. We would like to remember and thank all the members that have helped our club through the years in achieving this status. On March 23, 2001, the French Bulldog Club of Dallas/Fort Worth held its first AKC licensed Specialty Match in Richland Hills, Texas. home | club officers | club history | next meeting | show info | links | email |
